Happy Imbolc!

So I have avoided posting anything up in January as most folks are being bombarded with self-improvement posts and I’ve just been under a duvet, improving nothing but my ability to find a blue M&M without looking into the packet.

But today, being Imbolc, is a time to tentatively step out of the hibernation of winter and begin thinking of new shoots and new creative avenues. I am about to begin posting book reviews of new and backlist (aka not new) titles on this site. What is covered will be wide in scope, as wide as my own interests, and both non-fiction and fiction will be reviewed.

Where I get the titles from will vary as well. I will always tell you if I’ve been sent a copy for free from the publishers or if I picked it up at a secondhand stall or from Waterstones or online somewhere. I’ll also tell you if it was read on e-book, paperback, hardback or audio format.

I’ll also occasionally let you know about the books that I am editing at Arcturus. One such that is due to come out later in the year is Druidry by Maria Ede-Weaving. She has a marvellous Imbolc ritual in it that I intend to do later today. I hope your celebrations go well and that you find all that you need for happiness and healing today.
